CAREER IGNITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. About Career Ignite
These Terms and Conditions apply to career assessments, career counselling, consultations, reports and related services supplied by Career Ignite Hub (Pty) Ltd, trading as Career Ignite.
By registering for, purchasing or using a Career Ignite service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Where the client is under the age of 18, the parent, guardian or other authorised adult registering the learner accepts these terms on the learner’s behalf.
2. Nature of the service
Career Ignite provides assessment-supported career guidance and related services.
Assessments and reports are decision-support tools. They do not make career decisions for clients and do not guarantee:
Recommendations must be considered together with academic performance, admission requirements, financial circumstances, personal circumstances and further research.
3. Career Ignite’s process
Career Ignite follows the process:

4. Client responsibilities
Clients must:
Assessment access details may not be transferred to or used by another person.
5. Payment
Payment is required before an assessment report can be generated, released or interpreted, unless Career Ignite agrees otherwise in writing.
Prices will be communicated before the service is confirmed. Any additional service outside the agreed package may be quoted and charged separately.
6. Appointments
Career Ignite counselling appointments are generally 60 minutes unless otherwise stated.
Clients should provide at least 24 hours’ notice when requesting to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
A missed appointment or late cancellation may be treated as used where Career Ignite reserved the appointment and incurred preparation or platform costs. Any rescheduling fee or retained amount must remain reasonable and will be communicated to the client.
If Career Ignite must reschedule an appointment, the client will be offered a suitable alternative.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Refunds will be considered in accordance with applicable South African consumer law and the amount of work or cost already incurred.
Once an assessment has been activated, accessed, started or completed, Career Ignite may deduct or retain the reasonable cost of:
Where no assessment has been activated and no substantive work has begun, a cancellation request will be assessed fairly based on the circumstances.
Nothing in these terms removes any non-excludable right available under applicable South African law. The Consumer Protection Act promotes fair consumer agreements and prohibits unfair practices. Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008?
8. Post-counselling support
Where included, one month of post-counselling support begins on the date of the counselling session.

9. Assessment platform
Career Ignite uses the Edumilestones platform to administer assessments and generate reports.
Access may occasionally be affected by maintenance, internet connectivity or circumstances outside Career Ignite’s reasonable control. Career Ignite will provide reasonable assistance but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party systems.
10. Confidentiality and privacy
Career Ignite will handle personal and assessment information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable South African privacy law.
Clients must not share another person’s report, access credentials or personal information without proper authority.
11. Intellectual property
Career Ignite and Edumilestones materials, reports, tools, worksheets and resources remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Materials supplied to a client are for that client’s personal, non-commercial use unless written permission states otherwise.
They may not be:
A client may share a report privately with a parent, educational institution or relevant professional for legitimate personal guidance purposes.
12. Limitation of responsibility
Career Ignite will provide its services with reasonable care and professional judgement.
Career Ignite is not responsible for decisions made contrary to the guidance provided, inaccurate information supplied by a client, changes made by institutions or employers, or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
15. Changes to the terms
Career Ignite may update these terms when its services, systems or legal obligations change. The terms applicable at the time a service is purchased will ordinarily govern that transaction, unless a legal requirement provides otherwise.
