Refunds & Cancellation

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS POLICY

Effective date: 9 August 2026

Career Ignite Hub (Pty) Ltd aims to handle cancellations and refunds fairly and in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.

Appointments

Clients should provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling a counselling or feedback appointment.

Where sufficient notice is provided, Career Ignite will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the appointment without an additional charge.

For late cancellations or missed appointments, Career Ignite may charge or retain a reasonable amount for time reserved, preparation completed and costs already incurred. The circumstances of each cancellation will be considered fairly.

If Career Ignite cancels an appointment, the client will be offered an alternative date. If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed upon, the amount paid for the undelivered appointment will be refunded.

Assessment services

Clients may request cancellation before an assessment is activated or substantive work begins.

Once an assessment has been activated, accessed, started or completed, Career Ignite may deduct or retain reasonable costs already incurred, including:

A cancellation does not automatically entitle the client to a full refund after these costs have been incurred.

Refund requests

Refund requests must be submitted to:

Email: [email protected]
Telephone or WhatsApp: 067 162 2324

The request should include the client’s name, service purchased, payment date, reason for cancellation and supporting information where relevant.

Approved refunds will be processed using a reasonable and practical payment method. Processing times may depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.

Any cancellation charge will be reasonable and determined with reference to the nature of the service, work already completed, notice given, costs incurred and Career Ignite’s ability to reallocate the appointment.

Nothing in this policy limits any right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or other applicable South African law.

South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act permits cancellation of an advance booking but allows a supplier to impose a reasonable cancellation charge based on the circumstances. Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008?
