Candidate Honesty Policy and Agreement
CANDIDATE HONESTY POLICY AND AGREEMENT
Career assessments are most useful when they are completed honestly, independently and under appropriate conditions.
By participating in a Career Ignite assessment, the candidate agrees to:
- Provide accurate personal, educational and professional information
- Answer questions honestly according to their own interests, preferences, abilities and experiences
- Complete the assessment independently, without another person selecting or influencing answers
- Follow all assessment instructions
- Complete the assessment in a suitable environment with minimal interruptions
- Avoid using unauthorised assistance, copied answers or automated tools
- Keep assessment login details confidential
- Not permit another person to complete the assessment on their behalf
- Not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell or publish assessment questions or protected content
- Inform Career Ignite if technical problems or significant interruptions affected completion
Parents, guardians, teachers and other supporters may assist with technical access or clarify general instructions, but they should not choose answers for the candidate.
Career Ignite may ask a candidate to repeat an assessment or may decline to rely on the results where there are reasonable grounds to believe that:
- Another person completed all or part of the assessment
- Answers were deliberately misleading
- Unauthorised assistance was used
- Assessment security was compromised
- The assessment conditions materially affected the reliability of the results
Assessment results are decision-support tools and depend partly on the information and responses provided by the candidate. Inaccurate or dishonest responses may produce unsuitable or misleading recommendations.
Where the candidate is under 18, the parent or guardian confirms that the learner has been encouraged to answer independently and honestly.
By proceeding, the candidate and, where applicable, the parent or guardian acknowledge and accept this policy.
